Super pale is not what you want to get OE. Very blue X dark brown will get you OE. EE may or may not have two blue egg genes, which is what you need to guarantee OE in the first generation.
Darn lol thank you! What will I get then?

I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to. I have a Easter Egger rooster (surprise! I ordered pullets) and I was wondering if roosters carry blue/green egg trait, too... So would crossing an EE ROO over a Welsummer or Maran hen create olive eggers? I know EEs are muts and all, but I'm only interested in egg color. I can find tons of info about people crossing dark egg laying ROO over an EE hen, but nothing on the other way around. Any one with experience? I'd just like to know this surprise EE roo is worth something to my flock other than just hawk decoy lol. Thanks!
I bred my white EE to a Marans and ended up with a brown egg layer.I have a question I can't seem to find an answer to. I have a Easter Egger rooster (surprise! Thanks for the replies! I'll definitely try it, I just didn't understand why every breeding page was always the pure breed roo over the EE hen instead of the other way around. I figure genetics are 50/50 either way, right? Or do chicks get certain traits from daddy and certain others from mommy?
