The Olive-Egger thread!

This is my 3 week OE chick, it's twice the size of the RIR it hatched with. I know it's early but if anyone sees any tail tail signs of a cockerel let me know. Thanks

I don't see a sign yet. But I'm so glad you posted this. I have the four feed store chicks (one month old now) and the three EE's are bigger than the RIR and I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with her. There is something wrong with one of the EE pullets.....she is a HE!!

That happened to me last year, I let me niece pick out a EE from the Pullet bin at the feed store and wouldn't be my luck it was a cockerel!!! I'm hoping to have better luck this year, this was the only OE to hatch from the 6 OE eggs that were given to me.

2 OE eggs hatched! Here are some photos:

They all got mixed up in the incubator so I don't know which ones are the EE X WM chicks, and which ones are they other crosses. I guess I'll just have to wait until they grow up.

Today there were no eggs at 9:00 a.m., but by 10:00 a.m. all the girls had laid. 100% and timely, thank you Ladies!

These are eggs from Pat the olive egger (3/4 FBCM x 1/4 CCL) over the past three days. Today's was the largest and darkest so far.

Oh no....lol....one of my small winter hatches were all barred so I didn't know which were the full Doms........I didn't realize Joe would pass the barred pattern to all his offspring....only have two of them left and they are both roos ... All your babies are so cute!
