That is the prettiest egg I have ever scene! Is the color true to the picture? I also want to know about what cross made that egg. Kern

It is exactly as pictured. It is kind of a lime green, which is why I was unsure if it was considered a true OE. I will contact the breeder and report back!

Well, that was quick! It is a Legbar X Maran F1 egg. I really hope the chick lays the same egg. I am sort of bummed it will be cracked open. It is my favorite egg ever!

It will be interesting for context if she posts pics of the rest of the eggs, some hens do lay speckles naturally but for some it's a fault.

Either way it's a beautiful egg!

Other than divulging mom and dad, the breeder is being pretty tight lipped about the rest. They said the speckled egg isn't uncommon, but wouldn't say if it was common either.

I will post photos if this chick hatches, becomes a hen, and lays amazing eggs

All 4 of Willow and Docs eggs hatched...two this morning two yesterday...

I shared a picture of Willow and Doc a couple of pages back... ;-)

I'm amazed at how different they look!

22 out of 25 eggs goodhatch! First ever hatch! Lol
