Wynette I would have snatched those eggs if A) they weren't shipped so far from now and B) we had room for so many more chicks. . . Our current hens are having quite the time trying to pay for their feed AND the current chicks' feed.

Because honestly. . . I want Olive Eggers BEFORE next year.

Are there different shades of blue? Cause I have a few others out of olive eggs that look dark blue.

What do splash look like when they're chicks? Are they a lighter blue or are they more like a white?

Blue will run from a very pretty light blue to darker midnight that looks black and a few shades in between.

I'm sure I'll end up with some splash when I breed my BBS ameraucanas with my blue FBCM

OMG the cuteness in that photo is literally burning my eyes! I have one splash EE but she's a little darker than yours hatched from a deep olive egg. I'd like to cross her with a wellsummer roo. Can't wait til my little F1 and F2 olive and green eggers are ready to lay!!!

I have a question .... Should I cross my Olive Egger, Miss Olive, with a blue gene bird, or a Marans? Her eggs are super super dark .... nearly black! I was thinking it would be best to go with a blue gene?
