The Olive-Egger thread!

Does anyone want an interesting rooster? I have a 4 month old pure white Olive egger (BCM and auricauna mix) How it came out white I have no Idea, came from a dark brown egg and his brother looks just like a BCM with a pea comb. As much as I want to keep him, I have too many roosters already. I live in Orange county NY, near the Ulster county line. I can meet or you can come pick up but I dont ship. Asking $10.00 thanks

Some eye candy of 2 of my OEs from Amy's eggs (HappyMtn)

I LOVE that Wheaten girl!

I've got some BW Ameraucana X Wheaten Marans eggs in the bator right now, I'm hoping for a few little Wheatie OEs in 3 weeks!

Not sure exactly, I am no expert. I know that the Pea Comb is a must trait - which she has... This is a second generation OE. The mother was an OE from an Ameraucana X Welsummer. That OE was in turn crossed with a Welsummer Roo creating this 2nd generation(f2) OE pictured above.

Neither yellow legs nor pea combs are a 'must trait' for Olive Eggs. A pea comb is not a 100% for true blue layers either!

Some pictures from this morning.

('Scuse her messy face, she was enjoying breakfast when I decided it was a good time for a photoshoot.

Thanks Cyn! I fell in love with this bird before I even saw her, her egg color is a beautiful rich olive green in person, the camera can only capture so much. Then when I found out she was blue, oh I was head over heels!
