The Olive-Egger thread!

VERY nice... I sit and wait... Very anxious to see what my girl Sunshine will lay. Her mother was an OE and her father was a WhAmeraucana. So we have Olive Egg genes crossed back to Blue Egg genes:

And, an older fella, a gorgeous and very heavy/meaty Golden Duckwing Araucana x Wheaten Marans.

As a little note - the boy on the left is a purebred Araucana, in front and on a perch. He's quite a bit smaller than the OE.

Haven't touched it in aaaages. That's what happened. And I have sooo much to update on.

No more goats, no yak, no Wyandottes, new chickens, a whole new greenhouse, LOTS of growth and stuff to eat, new gardens, etc. . . .

Yes, I love my BW girls, but they're looking for new homes. They've grown since these photos though. I've got a couple boys too but didn't get photos of them. The Wheatie and BW boys got sold a while ago.

Must get me some of those girls!!!! Can't wait to see eggs!!!

I used to sell hatching eggs for this combo, (had some photos of people's beautiful chicks from them too!) but sadly both my Blue Wheaten Ameraucana girls died. So, no more blue girls. And my normal Wheaties are in with my Buff boys.

I'll see if I can get their future owners to send me egg pics.

I have a one blue girl that should lay soon and another blue that I'm fairly sure is a girl. I hope they lay a nice olive egg. They are from EE's hens so I know they may lay a brown egg if I understand correctly. Sure hope the eggs are olive.
