The Olive-Egger thread!

The parents of my Olive Eggers are Black Ameraucana roo over the Cuckoo Maran hens. I got the breeder's name mixed up, it was Lotsofpaints that sent me the eggs, not Rockinpaint. Lol
The chicks are sex-linked, the males are barred, while the females are solid black.

Pea-comb cockerel with a full beard-

Pullet. She have a very full beard and muffs, which I am very happy.

I plan on keeping the two pea combed ones. They will live in the layer house, with New Hampshires, Black Australorp, not in my breeder coop.

This is my blue barred girl. Finally just started laying! Course, now that she has the roos are all over her.. so the aprons are on their way

I've got a blue barred OE roo and another blue barred OE hen, might have to stick those 3 together at some point and hatch some fun babies!

I incubated some Olive Eggers last spring. Unfortunately, all that hatched was a roo. He's an F2 OE out of a pretty speckled green egg and from Black Copper Marans crossed with Blue Wheaten Ameraucana.

He is heavier bodied than my pure Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. I assume Olive Eggers breed true? Is there a place for this guy in an Olive Egger breeding program?

I have 3 of my white Araucana rooster over Cuckoo maran hen eggs in the incubator. She's just laying every couple of days right now. All I'm wanting right now is 4 pullets. Any cockerels will be given away, free, if anyone is interested. The Roosters in that pen are from very blue eggs and the hen lays nice dark eggs. They may be rumpless and could have tufts but all of the cockerels will be barred. The last time I did this cross, they were all pea combed too.

I'm incubating 6 OE eggs now.
The original OE hens are Blue Wheaten Ameraucana(roo) X Mossy Black Coppers (hens).
I have these OE hens in with my BCM roo whose eggs I'm incubating now. Can I sell the resulting chicks as OEs?
