I love the multi colored pants those are my favorite. What is your Olive Egger mix with?
My OE now is laying pretty consistent, but the color is different everyday. I love the variety.

She is from "ruth" I believe 2nd or 3rd generation EO. Originally Blue Copper Marans and Amerucana (not sure).
If I breed an OE to an OE will I still get OE's???
Quote: My Marans do that too. She is just learning how to paint the eggs.![]()
I was thinking, since my new Olive Egger laid me another egg today, my Olive Eggers are some of my best layers. Anybody else find that? The lay earlier than Marans or Ams and lay regularly and don't take as long to molt and they are good size eggs too. Her egg was not as gray today, more a perfect army green![]()
At what age are yours laying? My 1st generation (2nd hatch) are at 18 weeks, I don't think they will lay until Nov or Dec. I'm not expecting an egg until at least 24 weeks, more likely since the day light is shortening, 30 weeksI was thinking, since my new Olive Egger laid me another egg today, my Olive Eggers are some of my best layers.
