It's just a regular day on the VirtNet, filled with gaming, mild hacking, and spending time with your VirtFriends. But the atmosphere isn't as bright as it usually is. Talk of the mysterious gamer, Kaine, is plaguing convesations. More people have been trapped in the video game world than ever before, their bodies found dead in their Coffins, with no known cause. Their Cores are fried, which suggests that they committed suicide inside the VirtNet. But many people don't have the hacking skills necessary to Code out their Cores, and why would they do it?
