I would be perfectly okay with it, she has just said that the Outsiders live alone in the forest. So i don't think 300+ villagers would come out of the blue after a dragon. So if your going to do it, leave my characters out of it.

Ok I'm going to settle this now so my thread won't close.

The village is 50+ miles away. It'd take the villagers a LONG time by foot to get to the Outsiders. Therefore, villagers can't just pop outta nowhere and attack us.
