Jinx was outside in her small barn, mucking out the stalls. She was still getting used to having someone around who wasn't related to her and knew that she was a shapeshifter. She glanced out of the barn into the early morning light and smiled at her animals, then started pushing her wheelbarrow over to the manure pile. She heard the sound of wings and one of her hens landed on her shoulder. She stroked the bird's back then continued moving the wheelbarrow.

"I apologize for overreacting. It's just that I've been searching for this place for so long, and then someone who I thought I could trust told me it didn't exist. And I haven't had an easy time of it, people seem to instinctively hate me and usually when I wake up wth people aound me it means that they are going to either torture me or try to kill me. So, you can't really blame me for not believing you at first."

[ First of all guys, Chicken said no farm animals and barn, especially if the person isn't in the group; there is no way they could have gotten those supplies. Yes, we over exaggerate with saying they have cabins but Forever said it was fine, other things she did not. Secondly, it is not set in the 1800's if you'd look at the front page it says it is set in modern times. ]
