The Parasite Destroyers

Can you just put some chopped up garlic into their treats sprinkled with some cayenne pepper, ginger every other day or how often is it okay to feed your chickens something like that to use as a natural method of killing worms?
Or how often is it okay to feed them any of these things on this list?
Id like to incorporate them into their diet daily or weekly but want to make sure how often its okay to do so.
Thankyou for this list!
Id rather go this route then other methods for keeping the chickens healthy from parasites!

I am using Hoegger’s herbal wormer once a week, and 8 ounces of cayenne pepper once every two weeks, A couple of cloves of garlic in their water once a week. I am experimenting with the rest of the stuff on the list and I do not want to post anything until I know for sure the dosage, etc..

So is the Hoegger's and Cayenne not working?

There's little evidence any of the things listed actually work .
Like most "home" remedies, the only sites that promote them tend to be sites that SELL them too

As a general rule, if you can't find a university study to support the claims, they are usually false

And too much Garlic will make your eggs taste funny

Most of the items listed go really well with BAKED chicken, though

I'm with Bear Foot on this one. I would not assume any of them worked unless I knew for sure that my birds had parasites in the first place then tested them afterwards to see if this stuff did anything.

that is a good list. when my flock was smaller i allowed them to range into my herb garden and even planted herbs along my flower beds. the ladies would help themselves at different times of the year to different herbs and at other times leave them alone. some native plants are toxic and poisonous but at times i have seen my ladies helping themselves to small amounts of wormwood, an azalea that grows wild here, and a plant that looks like the flowering plant sold as vinca in plant stores. now that my flock is much larger there is no chance for plants to grow but i still through thyme, rosemary, lavendar hyssop and lemon balm into the run seasonally as tonics. the native plants dont vanish quickly and ladies are able to graze on several varieties of grasses that were used medicinally by native peoples here.

The only true indicator of efficacy would be a fecal flotation test prior to treatment compared to this test on the same birds post treatment. All else is conjecture.
