Lots of people are interested in getting goats now days. They are an easy way to make money, and they give a lot of laughs.

Soap, Milk, Butter, Cheese, Casmere, Meat. There are endless possibilities!

But what is the perfect goat? Everyone has their own Opinions. But my personal Favorite is a rare unknown breed called the Kinder.

It is a 5th generation cross between a Nubian and a Pygmy. They are miniature, with large teats, and has milk that is high in butterfat. They can be stocky and great for meat, or they can be lean and be a dairy line. It's up to the breeder to decide which they prefer. I have both a dairy line, and a meat line.

I have a small growing herd of Kinder goats. Here are the boys.

An un flattering picture of Kodiak. He is a young handsome boy although in this picture it's hard to tell.

Here is our big boy Wilbur. Back when he was a young little buckling. Oh how he has grown since.

And the girls.

Our little miracle Meg.

We also have a Nubian, a pet Pygmy/Fainting cross, and a Pygmy/Fainting/Kinder cross.

These are all old pictures from this summer. Except the snow one which is from last december. Everyone has grown quite a bit.

Kidding starts soon and I can't wait. Lucie is due on Dec. 23. Which was an accident. The others begin kidding in March.

Very nice! I've always kind of been interested in getting a goat or two. Fainting goats are definitely the funniest.

We just started raising registered Kinder Goats last Oct.A little more than a year ago. But we've had other goats for years.

If anyone is interested in learning more about Kinder Goats, feel free to ask.

I will be purchasing hopefully quite a few more does and a buck in the spring. I was on wait lists for over a year to purchase the ones I have. It's hard to find breeders. And they sell like hot cakes.

I will have doelings, and bucklings for sell in the spring. As well as some crosses.

I just love my goats. They never fail to put a smile on my face.

I had a goat ONCE......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

You have to be patient and not easiler angeried. When they are jumping on your car, and clearing out your flower beds.

We have every plant we want to keep on our 12 acers fenced off.

Luckily they don't jump on cars anymore. Imagine the shock when people would pull into their drive way and a goat would jump atop the hood of their lincoln.

Okay, I'm embarrassed to ask, but I've always wanted to know.....so....do they ALWAYS walk around with their tails straight up in the air like that?

Lilly and my Lamancha Clover have the same face (ok, Clover doesn't have ears, but...)

How big do they get, height and weight?

That's just how they do it.

It's actually pretty smart. No poo or wee on their tails.

Very cute little goats. I've never seen Kinders before. How are they personality wise?

What do you sell the babies for? I am in Bond County, just about an hour or so north of you, depending upon where you are. My daughter lives in West Frankfort!! I love goats, and these do not look like they have horns, or did you dehorn them?
