He is looking good!My birds are glad to have a break from the rain today! Everything in my yard is a muddy mess including all the chicken feet! Here are a some pics of the cockerel with the most white from this year's hatches. He is young and I'm hoping that he will fill out some more as he matures. He has started crowing a lot early in the morning so his days here in town are numbered.

Thanks, Ron! I don't really like his tail and he doesn't seem quite as big as some of my other cockerels but I keep reminding myself that he is one of the youngest ones.He is looking good!
Where is that genetics expert to tell us how hard it is to get the eye color back to golden? This is my pullet with the most white. She is beautiful with lovely yellow legs & beak but she has blue eyes. Out of all the Pita Pinta chicks that I hatched, this is the only one that I know of that has blue eyes. (Please excuse the muddy mess. It was a mud swamp in my backyard this past week.)
Close ups of 2 other pullets to show the correct eye color.

The Langshan really are that big. Of course, they have big, long legs and that adds to their weight as well as making them look bigger. The Langshan pullet in the pic is about the same age as the white legged Pita Pinta.Where is that genetics expert to tell us how hard it is to get the eye color back to golden?
They all look very good.
Are the langshans the same age and also, do they really weigh more? Looks can be very deceiving with chickens. Cornish X do not look that big until you pick them up.
