the plight of an overzealous egg song

Sometimes 3 or 4 of my hens will start singing when one lays an egg, I thought they were being attacked the other day. I have 3 black Australorps and 3 barred rocks. I'm not sure which of them find the song contagious though. I saw a barred rock lay an egg the other day and she calmly walked out of the box and didn't say a word.
