Please...I am OVERJOYED that I am only paying $12 for bales this weekend. Last load was $13 and I GLADLY paid that too! Feed store bales run anywhere from $15 -$19.95. Trust me, I've paid both in the last 2 weeks ( I always run short before the "cheap" truck comes back!)
I do suppliment with the cheaper hay too @ $7.25-$7.95 its a bargain (NOT) We call it coastal, its just a fine stemmed grass hay, pretty much good for giving them something to do.
EAST CENTRAL! Problem is , they want you to buy the whole truck, heck, if I could do that I don't think I would care how much it cost . We get together in my neighborhood and split a truck amongst quite a few people. Also there is the factor of storing it during the hot humid months and I dont have that much room as it is for storing it. I am pretty stocked with the 2 month supply I buy now and I keep a fan running on the alfalfa.
YEP, horse keeping is definately expensive down here.
