Is anybody here a fan of The Princess Bride, book or movie? I just finished what must be my 50th re-watch, and enjoyed it just as much!

Okay, I can't type out The Princess Bride once every sentance. I announce a new abbreviation: "TPB"!

Normally, I say the book is always better. But with TPB I consider them both equally great!

So... Who is your favorite character? Favorite scene? Favorite quote?
Yes! I love this movie *almost* as much as I love The Hobbit! It's been a while since I've watched it (time to watch it again!) but I still remember my favorite scenes!
Favorite scene, starting with: "My name is Inigo Martinez. You killed my father. Prepare to die!"
"Stop saying that!"

And ending with:

"I want my father back, you son of a b---!"
I love the part when Westl is trying to convince Buttercup that it's really him and she pushed him down the hill while he yells, "As you wiiiiishhh"
These two scenes, these two are some of the best. Let's not forget the "he's been mostly dead all day" though!

So for those of you who don't know, TPB movie cut out the last couple paragraphs of the story. Here they are:

From behind them suddenly, closer than they imagined, they could hear the roar of Humperdink: "Stop them! Cut them off!" They were, admittedly, startled, but there was no reason to worry: they were on the fastest horses in the kingdom, and the lead was already theirs.

However, this was before Inigo's wound reopened; and Westley relapsed again; and Fezzik took the wrong turn; and Buttercup's horse three a shoe. And the night behind them was filled with the crescendoing sound of pursuit...

Yep, that's the real ending.
(The pill given to Westley as for a "fighting man", and he wasn't due to live for more than a day)

What do you think about this. Did they make it to the ship Revenge? Was the movie right to take this out?
