The Project Has Begun!

Yup, tonight im goin to build the frame to my new coop im making at my grandmas house

its gonna be 6ft wide, 10ft long, and 6ft tall

and its gonna have a run thats already there about just as big as the coop

but we(me, my sis, cousins, and some of the other familly) decided on these breeds to get for our new flock ^.^ we wanted egg layers but we ended up with some pretty neato ones on the list

1 Random Colored Americana or EE
1 Black Austrolorp
1 Salmon Faverolle
1 Barred Plymouth Rock
1 Partridge Plymouth Rock
1 White Orpington
1 Red Star
2 Speckled Sussex's
1 Goldend laced Wyandotte
1 Silver Laced Wyandotte
and 1 Golden Campine

I AM SO EXITED!!! we will most likely get them in the beggining of August

Sounds like the right amount of space for 12 birds... but the run could be a little bigger.

You will love your Speckled Sussex. They are probably one of my favorites. Looking forward to pictures of the new chicks and coop!!

LOL yeah but arent cochins super broody too?

and

i just called my local feed store and they said ordering singles like that is too hard for them

so i looked online at some hatcheries and i cant find all those breeds at 1 place

Anyone wanna help me out and find a place that has all those?

My last hope as of now is my other feed store but i really doubt they will......

not fair!

I had a great aunt and when she passed away my cousins turned her whole little house into a chicken coop! It was really cool for the chickens!
