The Pullorum question/answer thread

I have a lot of questions about topics concerning pullorum testing, and I need some answers.

First of all:

Is it true that if a bird tests positive, you have to get rid of your whole flock? I want to show at fairs, but my brothers don't want me to get them tested, in case they are positive.

Second:

How can you prevent pullorum? I want to take all precautions

Third:

Are there any obvious symptoms?
