Lol, That's why I added "or whichever winter holiday you celebrate". My husband's family is also Christian but don't believe in Christmas. They do have a family reunion every December where the children are given handmade gifts (no store bought gifts allowed) and the adults swap recipes, plans for building things and music scores.
