The Quivering Chicken?

One of our 4 week old bantam chicks, a dark Brahma pullet (we believe) has, for the past few days, been shaking/quivering and stumbling over her own feet and falling while running. She's feeling fine- eating, drinking, fighting and playing with the others, but the shaking and falling has us worried about her.

So, has anyone else had this with their chicks/chickens? She's not cold or anything, and there are no injuries. She keeps up with the old English game chicks just fine, though she's much slower to develop...so, any thoughts?

Thanks,
Abron and family

well, it could be a number of things...
1) it may be cold or hot
2) you may not have enough protien in your feed
3) it may have a disease
4) Perhaps there's a torn muscle or broken bone from playing or fighting with the others
5) it may have nothing wrong with it... they tend to be very clumsy

If it stops eating or drinking, isolate it from the others immediatly!!! It may have a disease of some sort of disease that could harm the entire flock. If it hasn't eaten, drank, or passed bowels; it may be time to put it down

... I apologize for the lack of hope... im sure it'll be ok

It's not a vitamin deficiency, they're on high quality chick starter and have added vitamins in the water. She's eating, drinking, and passing her bowels just fine. She's super feisty with the other chicks, she'll jump up and at them with her claws out, if they challenge her. We picked her up and flipped her over and looked at her...once she was in our hands she calmed down and snuggled in for a nap like they all do, and her shaking stopped.

It's just very odd, she is acting 100% fine, no behavior change except with the shaking. We had another bantam once who would also quiver, and she was fine...maybe it's just something that some get..?

((Since she seems fine for now, we've started calling her the Shakin' Tater...her name is Tater...I really hope she's alright...this has been going on about 1.5 weeks...))

I know d'Uccles kind of tremble as if they are cold, but they aren't. But they don't trip and stumble. Hmm. Sorry I can't be of assistance. I hope she gets better soon.
