I am hopefully going to get a New Hampshire rooster, George Whickham, a Speckled sussex hen, Jane, a Partrige plymoth rock, Elizabeth, a (Splash?) marans, Mary, a silver laced wyandotte, Kitty, and a gold-laced wyandotte, Lydia, this summer. (those are names from Pride and Prejudice)

oooohhh... I have a yearning for sussex and marans too!

I am so sad that I am unable to order the Ideal Poultry bantam special right now. I'm telling myself that it isn't the last or only sale like this....hoping to find that great of a deal in the future when I'm prepared for it. Rir ladies are Hilda, Lacy and Pizza with their man Mr. Peck. 2 black giant mixes are Tuxedo (thought she was a he until she started laying) and Alligator.

I just finished building a bachelor coop. Bad weather now prevents the immediate building of another coop designed for bantams. I saw the deal on d'uccles too. :-(

Ohhh. We're building my chickies a new coop too. Getting three new chicks this March and am super excited!!!
