Just as he saw Valiki returning he took off in search of something to eat. He spotted a deer fawn and dived, sinking his talons in its tender neck and knocking it to the ground on impact. This would be enough for the flock he thought and screeched that he had killed a fawn for the flock to eat.

Chandi spotted Valiki with rest of the flock and tore off a chunk of meat off the neck of the deer. He took his prize to his perch and began eating it. The deer would have nothing left within the hour.
