It's so pretty!!!! Definitely going to look into one like that... How old are your lucky little ones again?

Here are the youngest 7 which are 7 weeks old now. There is a playpen to the left of them that houses 5 that are 10 weeks old and my Ameraucana bantam hen with frost bite has her own separate kennel. She is a year old.



Here she is in her kennel.

It's definitely time to give them more space. I feel so terrible them being so cramped, but what could I do? They will finally be able to fly around

Tears come to my eyes, as I, again, feel sorrow for you. But there's also a feeling of joy: Team Survivors are thriving and beautiful, and you at least have some offspring from your previous birds. If you want some silkies, I have some breeder birds that I will probably be getting eggs from: blue partridge, and splash.

Keep up the good work on the rebuild of the ever glorious Les Farms!

The basement babies are thriving in their baby barn. We have 3 for sure boys, and two iffy ones.. and then we have 6 for sure girls.. and Margaret.

I had a dream that Penny and a few other chickens returned from the woods and survived. Dreams like this I don't want to wake up from.


Silkie X Has a vague barring.


Boy - Silkie X NN - Named Phoenix - Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.


Silkie X NN Again. One of the iffy ones. Behaviour says boy, though looks much different (and more girly) than full brother Phoenix.


Silkie - Another of the iffy ones. Most think girl though.






Lucy - Girl NN


Cross breed girl - mostly BR, but with a bit of RSL - mother was RSL x BR, father was BR.


Scratching around for goodies


Joy - Barred NN girl


Unnamed Blue Ameraucana bantam girl - 12 weeks (the oldest).


Margaret the frost bitten black Ameraucana bantam making friends.

I'm so glad you still have part of your old chickens! I also love the name, Phoenix, for that one chicken: so awesome!
