The RE-Build of Les Farms

Aoxa, can you show us a picture of Frankie? I am an old breeder of many different breeds of rabbits. I might be able to help you figure out what breeds he is. If he is much bigger than the hollind lop you will need to be cafeful that he doesn't try and mate her is her babies will probably be much to big for her to have them. I used to raise all the Lops, All the Netherland Dwarf's, some of the Polish, New Zeland's and many othes.
He's probably 2/3 of her size.

He is inside now. I finally caught the bugger!

Wanted to add this here as well:

Spoke with fire marshall who was involved with extinguishing our fire.

Says any space heaters are a no no. Stay away from them altogether unless you are in the room with it.

Heat pumps, forced fan heater on the wall (what we were thinking) or any type of heaters meant for construction jobs are okay if you keep them clean.
Sally, I still want to hear what your hubby and cousin have to say!

Aoxa,
From the first pic I see a round head with ear's on the top instead of on the side. This leads me to believe their is either polish or Neitherland Dwarf in his blood line. His coloring I would say he is chocolate with seal points. Is his head more round or is his nose more pointed? Is his tail white or the same color, He also looks to not be a solid color but have sifferent shades in his pelt. If he is 2/3 her size and full grown he would be one of the dwarf size rabbits.

He has a short face.

His ears stick right up when he is excited or nervous, or when he hears something.

He is patchy.. I don't know how to describe his colour, but it's throughout his pelt. He's all shades of brown :)

The dog in this picture is a miniature poodle. So maybe you can size him based on her. Daisy Mae is the size of a house cat, and Frankle is a bit smaller than that.

My dog has a thing for bunnies. She loves them.

Frankle is too cute!! I watched the video today....Beautiful and amazing!!!
I did see somewhere here that there is a type of heater that would be applied to the wall and it looks to be ceramic. It is a flat panel, with no elements exposed. I will try to find it, and then post a link for you.
Hope all is going well!!

The thing with the ceramic heaters is they do not give off a good amount of heat, and they are usually still plugged in instead of directly wired I believe.

The fire marshall said do not heat with something like that (ie: plugged in rather than wired by an electrician).

I know a lot of people use these elements often, but I am going to be extra safe. I will even have fire detectors all through the barn, with ones that would alert us even if we were not in there to hear it.

I don't blame you, I think I would too. I know there are ceramic bulbs that screw into a normal light socket, just don't know how much heat they will give off. I think they are made for reptiles.
I did find the thread, but is about plug ins......sorry

I just thought of something.....My mom used to have a heat lamp in her bathroom. That thing heated her bathroom up like crazy....maybe a couple extra light sockets installed and the heat lamps?

Dust accumulating on the light bulb itself can catch fire.

There are so many dangers.. so many.. We won't be using any type of heat lamp other than the Premier 1 heat lamps if any at all.

We just want to heat the room enough to run the ecoglows :)
