Oh...I should add that I contacted the infratherm folks back in December and they told me their heaters won't work for that cold of temps either.
Bummer.

If only the ecoglows worked in cold tempsI've almost purchased one of those several times but keep putting it off. I keep hoping to find a heat source for brooding that doesn't emit light but gets warm enough for "in the unheated hen house" brooding.
I've almost given up on being able to find such a source as nothing I've found puts out enough heat for an area that could be as cold as 15 degrees f.![]()
I looked up some quotes on it and it is way too over the top in cost for us. $3,000 minimum cost for just that tiny room. If we had that amount available, we'd install a mini-split heat pump and heat the whole building.aoxa- I'd second the poster suggesting radiant floor heating. We have it in our house (just finished concrete floors) and it works really well. It's common in this area in for shop buildings too. Ours has a propane heated boiler that heats the water, some people use wood stoves, but many people are switching to solar heated systems.
I forget what the cost (for solar) is. I think it's too expensive to just switch out for equipment that works just fine, but I remember I thought it was reasonable for an initial set up.
I hope you find something that works well and gives you the peace of mind I know you need to have.
This is an American company as far as I can see.Did you check out Radiantec? They specialize in helping people do it themselves, or working with their contractors.
