The RE-Build of Les Farms

We're doing 5 strands of electric. We've already placed our order, and 15 friends and family are coming over on June 22nd to help us fence it in. 48 posts, 15 feet apart, 5 strands - 715 feet.

I was told by Primier1 that this is the best option to keep goats in. Please tell me they weren't wrong... because I spent a lot of money on it in both shipping and the product itself.

This is the type of strands we ordered.

With this idea in mind. Minus the fence posts. We are using wooden fence posts (free).

I've ordered 250 wooden post insulators as well.

with this energizer. (as per their instructions)

Where would be a good priced place to get posts and such Aoxa? Were planning on getting some pigs and eventually goats and I need to get some. I have a good amount of wire fencing to use(Three bobbins worth) so I dont think Ill need to buy fencing for a bit.

Camille, ask Joan :) She is providing all of our fence posts. She works at a large pallet factory and George is sharpening them for us. This is what she uses for all of her fence posts as well. They are 6 feet posts I believe. Maybe 8 feet.

Sounds good! All we need is posts and the posts insulators and we can get something set up for pigs and eventually goats!. We already have a really good electric box

Well, go on a memorial day vacation and wonderful things happen!! The rebuildt barn is wonderful, and in the same colors as our barn--which needs painting!! I must say New Orleans was great fun. We day tripped Saturday, as my Son-in-law had to be back to base by 10 pm.
