As Maya pulled into the driveway, Wes got the message. He looked down at his iPhone and typed back. "Hey! How's it goin'?" Maya parked the truck and grabbed her shopping bags as Wes got out and walked into their house. Maya followed him in and headed to her room. She put her clothes away and came back to the kitchen to help make dinner. Wes went strafe to the dining room and sat; waiting for a reply from Emma Kate.

When Joe finally reaches the cashier she hurriedly sets the ice cream down her hand feels frozen. She puts the potatoes down more calmly and waits for the girl to ring up her items and tell her her total. When the girl tells her her total is 5.73 she slides the card enters the PIN and presses enter. She grabs her bags and waits for the receipt, once received she walks out of the store to the car. She unlocks the car with the click of a button. She throws the groceries in the back and jumps in the driver's seat. She buckles up before starting the car and heads home.

Joe parked in her driveway grabbing the groceries from the back. She heads inside drops the keys on the coffee table and walks into the kitchen. She sets the potatoes on the counter where her Mom is almost done. Joe puts the ice cream up and rinses her hands off grabbing a potato peeler and open the bag of potatoes. She starts peeling potatoes as her Mom cuts the ones she has peeled.

Once the food is done cooking her and her Mom sit down to eat. They chat happily and eat quickly. When they're finished Joes puts the dishes up and make each a bowl of ice cream. She hands her Mom her bowl and wheels her into the living room. She goes back to the kitchen to get her bowl and the two look to see what's on tv. When they find nothing good to watch they decide to watch Ghostbusters. Joe pops in the dvd and sits on the floor next to her Mom in her wheelchair.
 
Emma Kate heard her phone beep and looked down at it. It was Wes. She grinned. She replied "Great! You?" She pressed send. Then the lights flickered. She looked up and shook her head in disagreement. After she went to her room to change clothes. She jumped when she heard her mom yell "EMMA TIME FOR DINNER!"
"I'll be there in a sec!" Emma Kate said softly. "WHAT?" Yelled her mom. ''I'LL BE THERE IN A SEC!!" She screamed. "Don't yell at me Emma!" Said her mom. She rolled her eyes and went into the dinning room.


When Kendall got home her mom stood at the door with her arms crossed and a scowl. "What?" Asked Kendall. "Where have you been?" Replied her mom. "Umm, I told you I was going to the mall." She said with attitude. "Not for 3 hours ya didn't! You had me worried!"
"Well you could of called me!" Kendall said with anger. Kendall's mom grabbed the phone out of Kendall's hand and said "How am I gonna call you now?" Kendall gave her mom a scowl. Her mom pranced into the kitchen with a phone in hand. "You'll learn when to come home!"
"Its only 9:30!" Exclaimed Kendall.
Her mom poked her head out of the kitchen "Only?" She said and winked. Kendall went into her room and went to bed with out any dinner.

The movie had just ended and Joe looked up at her Mom. Her Mother was dozing off so Joe stood up and pushed her to her bedroom. She helped her into bed since she was already wearing pajamas. Joe kissed her Mom's forehead told her goodnight and walked to her room. Joe changed into an old t-shirt that was two sizes to big and basketball shorts. She laid down on her bed and covered up yawning. It took her a few minutes but she finally fell asleep.

Rose looked at the waitress. The lights flashed again. No one reacted. Her head pulsed with pain. It seemed to be getting more frequent. "A small cheese pizza and a coke please," she murmured, trying to concentrate. It was incredibly difficult. Rose blinked, and glanced at Jaden.

Wes smiled. "Good." He pressed send and typed another message. "Hey, do you want to go out to lunch tomorrow? I can pick you up in the parking lot at school, if you want." He hit send as Maya came into the dining room with plates and forks. Their grandmother, Wilma, came in behind her with a plate of hamburgers and a bowl of potato salad. "Put he phone away, Wes. It's time to eat." She said and he slid the phone into his pocket. They dished up and ate slowly; talking about their day.

The waitress scribbled something down. Rose took her phone out. She took note of the time. Maybe there is some sort of pattern to the light flickering she thought.
