"Yep." Blue Raven (Anni) said.
Weston (I keep calling him Kaleb! XD) nodded. "Good. Let's go!" He yelled to the troops.
Sam smiled. 'Finally all our hard work will pay off! After this mission, there won't be much of an army for the Power to mindlessly control like robots.' She thought.
"We can win this!" Blue Raven (Anni) yelled.
Sam threw her head back as she jogged and laughed; really laughed. The last time she laughed like that was… before her parents were killed by the Power. She had vowed to get revenge on Thomas Havel, the very man who shot her mom and dad right in front of her house on the front lawn. Sam laughed for about half a mile but stopped so she wouldn't be so winded.
Weston smiled after seeing Sam laugh. His little sister was the one of the leaders of a rebellion. She went farther than he would've hoped to in life. He never really wanted to live like this; having to be on the lookout at all times, killing innocent mind controlled people. He wanted a normal life; kids, a loving wife, he even was looking forward to worrying about bills. Weston wanted the same for his sister, he wanted to be asked for permission for his sister's hand in marriage from a nice boy who would cherish his baby sister. 'Man, I'm starting to sound like a girl!' He thought to himself.
A came across Sam and stopped, watching him take down the deer. She glanced back behind her, then walked closer to Sam. "Hi"Sam crept through the woods, following a deer trail. He had been hunting for three days, trying to find food for his family. He followed the trail until it opened into a clearing. Sam could see several deer drinking and feeding by the banks of a pond. He crept as close as he could, then slowly pulled a wooden tube out of a holster on his belt. Holding it behind his back, he pressed its hidden trigger. In a movement almost too fast to see, he threw the now four-foot-long staff at the closest deer. The staff hit the deer before it could move, killing it instantly as one of the blades pierced its heart. Sam went to the deer and placed his hand on its head, silently giving thanks for its life. He then gutted the deer and washed his staff in the pond. He collapsed his staff and put it back in its holster, then slung the deer over his shoulders and whistled for his dog. Sam glanced up at the building (the rebellion headquarters) that rose over the treetops and frowned. He hadn't meant to come so close to the city.
