"Ney. I must ask you this." Eric was serious. "Who do you love? Me, or Austin?"

Neytiri turned to look at him. For a moment, she was silent, looking him directly in his eyes. "You don't know how hard it is to answer that question, Eric." She sighed. "I think I love both of you."

"But you can only choose one of us." Eric's eyes were almost sad.

"I can't, Eric. I really and truly can't only choose one of you. If I had to, I guess it would be Austin." She sighed.

He pulled away, his eyes stone cold. "If that is how you feel, then have a nice day." He stood up.

Neytiri did not try to stop him. "And you." She replied, sounding more hasty than she wanted.

He didn't leave her, just walked to the other side of the lake, within earshot and range of a gun.
