She closed her eyes again, taking another deep breath.

"K-karan...I...I..." He sighed in frustration.

She opened her eyes to look at him again, her gaze curious.

He took a deep breath, his hands shaking a bit. "Karan, I've been trying to tell you something for the past couple of years. I love you. I can't put it in any other words. I love you. I can't help the way I feel, but I only know that I can't keep living without you knowing that I love you. I can't imagine my life without you, and I would die if anything happened to you."

Karan looked up at him, surprise flashing in her gaze, then she simply smiled.

He looked away, nervous about what she thought of him now.
