Heather walked up. "Im glad you decided to stay, but i know how much you like this girl and her family. Mason told me that Gabby's father wouldnt mind having you. If you ever change your mind..." Heather told him, hoping he wouldnt notice that she said 'Gabby', 'family', 'girl', and 'father'. "The necklace" Heather said, again hoping he didnt notice, "It is the only thing you have left of this girl. Wear it proudly, and always remember her." She took the necklace out of his feathers and let it hang, gleaming in the sun. It was a heart, a locket, but Heather didnt open it.
Arya watched the going ons from a very tall tree where she had been perched for a while. She decided to fly down finally and meet some people. She flew down to where the chicken with the locket stood was standing. "Hi. I don't think we've met.My name's Arya. What about you?" she asked him.
"Before you met Gabby, i had planned for you to be a mentor." Heather started. "For my daughter. When this interaction with the humans started, i thought that i would have to choose another mentor for her, but now i see that you are more perfect for her than i thought you were. My daughter was not hatched in this flock, which means that if she becomes Head, then she will have to work very hard to earn respect. I expect you to train her in the ways of a warrior, while i train her in the ways of a Head"
