Mason saw the fire, but not Eragon. "FIRE!" he yelled. The birds in the camp went back to the chaos that had started when the forest fire came. Many fled to Raven River and crossed without any orders.

Daisy took Firefly and her chicks and brought them across as soon as Mason had yelled. No one bothered to see if the fire was real or not, they just wanted to be safe.

(the fire's real just controlled)
eragon heard mason shout fire and said "oh man! they think they're in trouble!" he cut off the energy sustaining the fire and stood where he was hoping they hadn't seen him

The chickens didnt care that there wasnt a fire anymore. Most of them had crossed Raven River. Heather was talking to Mason. Then Mason pointed at where he had seen the ball of fire.

eragon stayed where he was then thought if i stay here they might find me and think i caused the fire! i gotta move then he started going higher then flew to teh next tree and continued moving so he was a good distance away

Heather flew up to the tree with Mason. They looked around where the fire had been. "Im telling you Heather-"Mason started. "Save it Mason" Heather interrupted. "I believe you, we will find who did it, in the meantime, go get the others, tell them its safe"

A few minutes later, Mason came back with the others.

"Gather" Heather shouted from the great oak in the center of camp. "For a flock meeting."

Heather checked quicly to make sure every one was here. "as you now know, the fire wasnt real. Some one made it look like there was a fire. If you know who this was, have any information, or you did it, then please come talk to me after the meeting. This is a serious crime and, depending on how i find out who did it, there will be a punishment" she finished. She flew into the branches of the oak to signal that the meeting was over,

eragon tried not to cringe they didn't know that the fire was real, or that he did it and it was controled. he didn't want to say anything because he had just been joined to their flock and didn't want to leave already, so the question was, should he tell or not?
