he suddenly got angry and exploded at her "Well i didn't want to die! and that was the only way! if i hadn't done that we would have all been that wolf's dinner!" he yelled at her then flew off before she could say anything flying fast to get away as soon as possible so he didn't have to hear her retort

eragon kept flying by now he was almost 3/4ths of a mile away and his wings were burning but he kept flying, he had a small light body so it was easy for him to fly
