The Rhodebar thread!

I agree. I can't Cull. That's why I have so many birds! This is the dark one that hatched Saturday. one more hatch in 4 days.

I used narrow strips of narrow very wrap for leg bands on these.
It stretches so you don't have to worry as much about frequent changes and rapid growth, plus it stays on

I buy it at the local coop or tsc... but you can Google "vet wrap" or "coflex". I must have 20 different colors and patterns of the stuff. I do combinations of I run out of options.
If you buy 1 roll of each color they will last you for years.

The rolls are 4" wide. I cut off a strip that is very narrow, less than 1/2" wide for new chicks, and maybe 2" long.
This stuff is stretchy and sticks to itself so I start wrapping in the back of the leg and leave a little extra so that when I wrap each time (I wrap twice) it not only sticks to the previous layer but I have a little bulge in the back that I can squeeze to create a tight bond and something to get a hold of when I need to replace it every few weeks as they are growing. I use blunt nosed cuticle scissors to cut it off.

Cheap and easy... ;-)

I have used the vet wrap too. some colors stick better.than other.

I sell leg bands that are super easy to put on. the link is in my siggie if you want some. they are elastic and stretch. easy to change out too. work for day old LF on up but not permanente or for grown birds...well you could use them on grown bantams would guess.

I have never asked a favor from you guys... so I am cashing out on you now....

I need for you guys(if you can) to post pics of the Underfluff of your adult birds... its for Educational proposes

thanks
