Also wild type, barred, columbian restricted chick down phenotype will not work as autosexing down. Do not know where you are going with the question.
You proposed a hybrid and that will not work as an autosexing breed. Like I said before hybridizing the E locus ( wheaten/ ?) will produce striped down that is different than wheaten down (white /cream). If the hybrid chicks have the correct number of barring genes and no genes for columbian restriction ( Db,Co,?) then the chicken down can be sexed. The rest of the chicks in a hybrid cross will not have the same genotye. 1 in 4 will have wheaten down- and can not be sexed; the homozygous wild type chicks can be sexed.
I disagree with you; I do not believe an individual can produce a delaware adult phenotype that produces an autosexing down. Take it as that. Let the person decide if they believe you or me.
Rhodebars that are wheaten, barred and columbian restricted will not produce autosexing down. Rhodebar that are wild type, barred and columbian will not produce down that is autosexing. Some of the chicks can be sexed but some can not. Autosexing is 100%. I do not believe the autosexing rhodebar carries the columbian gene.
