The Rhodebar thread!

Also keep in mind that when you breed your F1 Females back to your RB male, even though they will all likely look like RB, only half will be pure Rhodebars and will be e+e+. The other half will be e+eWh (or e+ey).
Determining which ones could be tricky. We'll see. I'm planning to keep only the most obvious and breed them to prove their autosexing at that point.

based on actual F1s posted here(as opposed of the Theorical ones I postulaed) F1s cant be sex at hatch, there is something affecting this, BUT the good news is that no matter how much you go back to Parent HRIR line(to improve type and body, color) you will be able to dected the e+/eWh heterozygotes which is what is the most important factore for me here, Why? because if e+/eWh and pure eWh/eWh looked the same then we would have a horrible time getting the Autosexing e+ into its homozygous state
From your lips to God's ears. ROFL I'm so hoping this will be the case.

I am 100% sure this is the case, as we already ahve e+/eWh heterozygotes to prove that, the only difference between the F1 and BC4(back cross to HRIR parent) should be that Mahognay and other Red enhancers would be in Homozygous state by that time Also body and Type should be that of a pure HRIR.. if this is not the case I will remove myself from this forums and never post again..

:) Whew...makes me feel better. ;-)

Uh oh... Penny's wheels are turning. LOL
She's one of the few people I know who thinks as many generations ahead in her breeding program as I do. ROFL
