Okay soo im no vetran in breeding.. So can someone explain how to breed Rhodebars (in really simple terms) because i really want to...
get a Rhodebar pair, thats how, but do you mean how do you improve on the current rhodebar breed? thats easy, get yourself very good quality Rhode Island Red pair...

set up two different breeding pens.

Rhodebar male x RIR female.

RIR male x Rhodebar female.

select the best looking barred males and barred females, mate them together and watch out for double barred males, they are much lighter than normal barred males, this males when breed to the best F1 barred females will produce autosexing chicks.

What will a double barred male look like compared to a single?

Would you suggest buying a Rhodebar male from a respectable breeder?

A single barred Rhodebar will look very red barred... the Double barring makes it lighter...here is a pic of one of my Hampbar males that was single barred... most pics you see of Rhodebar males on the internet sad to say are not pure to barring but are just singled barred that way they look a darker red...

Without seeing the father of this bird I would have to say it is double barred based just on the fact it is lighter than most single barred male Rhodebars I have seen...
a pic of my Hampbar males that are double barred... to me they would have to be double barred just to be a Rhodebar... or in my case a Hampbar... otherwise they are still not pure to breed...
