I been trying to figure out where does the lacing comes from, but I just cant come up with a genetic answer, I mean RIR lack Lacing and Legbars and or brusbar also lacks them... where did that lacing pattern came from is the big question here, seems it was introduced at some point in the breeding stock..I bought chick fron GFF on auction at rarebredauctions.com and sure enough several of the are growing up to be laced

question, did you used Rhodebar male over HRIR Female?.. That female really dont show barring, so I wonder what was the cross like
so if when they mature they dont show barring, that would make the original Rhodebar stock only single barred.. boy I hope she does shows it..Yes Marvin, I used my RB cock over my HRIR hens. None of my females display any white (or light) barring even in my younger hatch. In the older females you can see they are lighter in the front half (more orangeish then dark red) and darker on the back half. Not very pretty, lol. Now I have 1 male that really has nice type, broad breast, longer back, wing carriage good, (so far at least) so I am hoping some of those good Red genes are just hiding in the females.
