I have turned on their 4 am night light to increase their egg production as most have finished molting. However, I"m concerned I"m not using the right light bulb.

I've read flourescent and incandesent; "warm" colors v. cool , too.

My girls sleep with their head away from the light. ARGGGG !

HELP! I"M LOST!!

Don't fret. Either will work. All you need is enough light to barely read a newspaper by at roost height. I use fluorescent most of the time to save money but when it gets real cold I have to switch to incandescent because the fluorescents don't want to fire up. That's when it gets below the teens.
