I would prefer it staying here as well. While there is a lot of banter I do enjoy it. And while the search option is a little rough I am able to find the posts I need to reread again with few problems.
I think another website would just confuse others as well. I like the one stop shopping of BYC. Of course you have to find the correct forumns to get the info you are looking for.......I just tell people to search for beekissed and join the forums she uses the most![]()
Hasnt led me wrong yet![]()

Yeah, I guess so too.You have a good point there.
No,I don't mind one bit...but I'm somewhat FB illiterate. It seems so public and open that it makes me reluctant to try it. Too many idiots out there wanting attention that will comment and post to disrupt the flow. A person would have to constantly monitor it for these types of trolls unless you closed the group, which would present a whole new set of problems.
How would you guys do it?
I already HAVE sent folks over to these threads with links......should I be ashamed?Yeah, I guess so too.
It took me so long to find this thread and the OT thread, I've been thinking about "trolling" other threads with something like "You may not agree with the advice being given over there, but if you want to know how to REALLY raise chickens, you should check out the OT thread", followed by a link to that thread....just in case there's somebody else out there who's as ignorant as I was, but still has that little voice in the back of their head (like I did) saying, "something's just not right here, raising chickens shouldn't be this hard"!
Granny Bees Poultry Keeping Guide. 'Real life, old timey natural methods for maintaining healthy chickens, from the egg to old age, give your chickens the good life with little to no expense or extra work. A must read for anyone with poultry.' How's the book coming BK? Has a ring to it doesn't it.
That's why you need a facebook group....much less to manage!![]()
Bee, is there any way to edit the thread title? I need to start on the OT thread, but tbh, I fear my family would not see me for a couple weeks. And then I'd have to catch up on this and the ff thread when I was done...PS: I don't think it messes the threads up 'cuz I like all the banter...just wanted to make that clear...I love all the diversion... But if I were wanting to find some info on things I wouldn't know I could look in here to find it if I wasn't a regular follower
Quote: Really? wow. That surprises me. I would have thought genetics are genetics and you'd end up with some looney birds. Always learning here.
Okay. I object to anyone in their 40s being referred to as "Granny" anything.Grannies are at LEAST sixty, have at least 75% grey and preferably wear polyester. Like my late MIL.![]()
