update on the chicks. I am posting the pictures of the chicks before FF and one week into FF.


These chicks have a variety of 3 days. This is the first time I have ever deep littered chicks. I usually have to remove the chicks, wash and sanitize twice a day after feeding because I could not stand the smell and was afraid of contamination and illness. The litter is dry. I just add a handful and stir, I feed and water on top of surfaces covered in paper towel that I remove daily. What a time and money saver.
For bragging purposes I have put the Ops on the FF and have noticed an extra sheen in the feathering. They are not crazy about it, however they are not big eaters and prefer to hunt for food.
