The rude pet store lady emailed me back, I could not believe my eyes!

Someone like that deserves to lose their business. Sorry you were treated so rudely.
Take your hard earned money somewhere else.

If its fact(the email from them) they cant win a sued.

I never said they would win..I said they can take you to court,doesnt matter if its facts or lies,they can still pull you into court,even if its the truth you are liable if you tell others in the general public..IF people find the need to make their own lives so stressful and petty,take it up with the BBB..they can say it without reprocussion..the general joe blow can get in trouble...so people spout off all you want,you will probably never get in court about it,but I am just saying you could get into trouble..

there is a difference between defamation of character and liable.

If the person wants to, they can make a sign and carry it on public property stating his grievance and get away with it. as long as they do not physically interfere with customers coming and going..

I thought your initial email was very well worded.
If you meet somebody with a pet in your town tell them about this place. Other than that let it go. Seems like they're on their way out anyway...
 
Am I the only one wondering if this "terribly ill spoken Employee" that you were originally complaining about was the one to reply to the email and not the owner? The part about publicizing the finacial state of the business, advising not to respond and saying they would PRAISE thier employees for the way they acted...hmm I dont know, sounds fishy. But EIther way......

Walk away, tell your friends they are rude and how they treated you, find another place to shop and don't support their business with any more of your money.
 
What exactly happened at the store that started all of this? I suspect that the employee may have told the shopkeeper a different story. It is even possible that the employees wrote the e-mail.
