The rude pet store lady emailed me back, I could not believe my eyes!

feel bad for someone who is so unhappy and never think about it again. Put it out of your mind and be happy your not like that. That is usually what I try to do.

Great Idea! It is too bad when customer service becomes a thing of the past

I would also write a letter to the editor in the local paper, just forward your email and the reply to the paper.

I agree! If he is such a ill mannered person then I say it would serve him right for everyone who was "immature and juvenile" as well as those who were not, to go spend there money elsewhere! What a jerk!!!!

I am sorry you had to experience this. You did your part and did it quite well! This man and the employee, possibly his wife, must be very very unhappy people. The business will not be a success and it is no fault of yours. Try to put it behind you and please know, you will meet many people in your life. Many are nice and quite a few are not. When you meet one like this it makes you really appreciate the nice folks! You expressed yourself and that is what counts. You have a voice and it was heard! Way to go!

That is the original post about it.

I think referring people to a different store would probably be best if your worried about him taking drastic measures. But no matter what you'd say, if he did 'blow his head off' it would definitely NOT be your fault; if he is so very mature himself he should know better than to act that way towards anyone, let alone a kid.

Thanks

wow. i can't believe he said that! i would share the e-mail, along with your polite one you sent before to show that you weren't trying to cause trouble, and maybe he will lose a lot of business as he should. my local pet store is amazing. its family run and all the people that work there really now their animals! you can call with any question or concern and they will stay on the line until you figure it out. their main sell is fish, and a lot of times if one gets sick and dies recently after you get it, they will replace it saying that it should have been healthy enough and they had not caught the problem before. they are so nice, obviously this guy isn't. i'd try to get as much business away from him as possible, if he wants to play like that, then he's got a game going!
i agree with other members, SPREAD THE WORD anyway possible, newspaper would be great! make sure to include the name of the store!

I agree with you too. I'm not taking it that far at all. Trust me, I'm leaving it at this. I just needed to vent a little. Lol.

Oh come on! It's not defamation of character- It's called letting people know you got poor customer service. It happens all the time and no one gets sued over it. If he didn't want people to know he is a jerk and doesn't want their business, he wouldn't send e-mails like that.

Thanks Buster. I'm NOT saying that the OP should bad mouth the guy around town, just tell people who might shop there what his or her experiences were. Nothing more than that. But if he/she chooses to leave it where it is, that's fine. Other people will discover poor customer relations on their own and make up their own minds.

I would not shop there again and if anyone ask about his reputation of his business, just be honest and state that it is your opinion about his business.

Send both letters to your local newspaper
Alot of teens get to many bad raps let this adult
see how other adults see his behavior.

dont give it up.

when i had my first job the first thing they said to me was "and dont forget, give em the pickle " which long story short ment, do what ever you can to satisfy the customer , because they are your advertisement.

no wonder the guy isnt doing well with his buisness
