The rude pet store lady emailed me back, I could not believe my eyes!

But no, I'm just not going to return, and if anyone asks I'll refer them to a different store. I'm not going to report it to the paper or anything. Just emailing them was outgoing for me. Lol.

Nobody I repeat, nobody is ever responsible for someone commiting suicide..

I have a lot more to say on this subject, but I would get kicked off the site..

just let it go at enough said..

His store will be closing with that kind of customer relations.

We had a implement dealer here that was terrible with their customers and it closed-I cheered!

Walk away.
These are customer service oriented times. Basic levels of human decency are required here. Sometimes standing up for yourself brings another lesson in life. Good for you speaking up. Sorry the owner was so angry. Cause and effect are at play here.
The question is how much more energy do you want to expend with someone who is obviously in need of a great big hug? Business and public service can be hard... take it from a restaurant owner, but my customers are my lifeline and I try to find some agreeable common ground.
Don't burn a bridge
Don't cut your nose off to spite your face
Turn the other cheek
There are so many.
Be happy you are not that guy.
I would love to know what you sent him that set him off.
I did launch one unreasonable customer who crossed the line. I just did not want her to come back because she was miserable to my staff, me, other customers and even her own family.
PEACE

I agree with you too. I'm not taking it that far at all. Trust me, I'm leaving it at this. I just needed to vent a little. Lol.

That is the original post about it.

I think referring people to a different store would probably be best if your worried about him taking drastic measures. But no matter what you'd say, if he did 'blow his head off' it would definitely NOT be your fault; if he is so very mature himself he should know better than to act that way towards anyone, let alone a kid.

Oh come on! It's not defamation of character- It's called letting people know you got poor customer service. It happens all the time and no one gets sued over it. If he didn't want people to know he is a jerk and doesn't want their business, he wouldn't send e-mails like that.

Good job Picklestix - you should be proud for standing up for yourself! Too bad that person isn't more customer-service oriented - it will only hurt her, and you have done her a service by pointing out how you were treated in her establishment. I'm proud of you!
