Joshua smiled at her and wondered about what happened to her when she was taken away.

After a while Logan came back with an apple, a cup of warm tea and a sandwich.

The Defendant wait.

The judge and jury came in and all sat at their places. "All rise for the honorable Judge (OH no, I didn't think oh a name. Help me!!!)" the officer said as he stood next to the Bench and waited for the Judge and the Jury to come in.

The Judge came in and went to the Bench then looked at Ben, the Defendant and Prosecutor. Ben and his Lawyer stood once the Judge came in.

The Jury came in and went to the Jury box and were ready for the case to begin.

(What made you laugh?) How about Maddox?) Things in the stars are names/places I don't know for sure.)

After all of the formalities and introductions had taken place, the Prosecutor, Paula S. McCoy, stood, holding several papers, and went to face the jury. "This case was bought to court by the *Alabama* State Police and the defendant is suspected of kidnapping, assault, harboring felons, and murder. From his long list of victims, here are a select few." She looked down at one of the papers in her hand, slowly pacing as she listed the names. "Skye Warren, sixteen. Sarah Livanway, thirteen. Archer Lyle, fourteen. Anna Marie Rayne, sixteen. " She continued, using only the names of the youngest and known innocent. McCoy pulled out another paper. "Some of the known criminals he was harboring- Sara *last name*, Carolyn Vice, Zach Reeds, Audrey Hanson and Mark Walker." She looked back up at the jury, and stopped her pacing. "Evidence for what the defendant has done, and who he had under his watched is all contained in files that were found inside the facility he was hiding in." This man was just as crazy about paperwork as the Nazis were, she thought, disgusted." She went back to her seat and sat down, ready to here the defending attorney's response to her opening statement.

(Normally this would be much longer... But I felt that I should abbreviate it a bit. Also, would Sara be the only witness. If the gaurds haven't brought Sara yet, I recommend that Ben's lawyer requests a recess after his opening statements, because witnesses comes next.)

The Defendant, Russell J. Thatcher the3n stood up and came forward "Yes my client took these teens, but I have a statement he is allowing me to use. He said and I quote 'Teenagers are what brought this town to ruins' look around people, he's trying to clear the streets of these young felons, and what Paula has seemed to have forgotten if that Ben has gotten signatures from parents that he gets those children under HIS custody." he said then went over to his brief case and took out papers and handed a few to the jury and Judge "On these papers those are the signatures of the parents who legally gave their teen to Ben so those parents wouldn't have to deal with being blamed for the child. Let me just say, Audrey Hanson and Mark Walker are escaped convicts to Ben. He does not hurt the kids unless it is to be necessary and he doesn't do it very often." he said then sighed "I must ask the judge if I can request a recess" he said

The judge then looked at Paula and waited to see what she had to say about this.

Ben sat there and smiled because he knew what he was going to do next.
