The Defendant, Russell J. Thatcher the3n stood up and came forward "Yes my client took these teens, but I have a statement he is allowing me to use. Let me just say, Audrey Hanson and Mark Walker are escaped convicts to Ben. He does not hurt the kids unless it is to be necessary and he doesn't do it very often." he said then sighed "I must ask the judge if I can request a recess" he said

The judge then looked at Paula and waited to see what she had to say about this.

Ben sat there and smiled because he knew what he was going to do next.

(Use "Paula's" last name, McCoy. It gives a more professional tone, and it just doesn't seem right for her to be called "Paula" in these circumstances.)

The look on Ben's face sent a chill down McCoy's spine. There was something about him smiling at his own trial... there was something rigged about this session, she could feel it. The ginger stood up again, a fiery offense already In her head. "Even if this man is the legal guardian of these teens, harming them to the point he did should still at least be considered as child abuse."

(I went over it and realized that half of it would not be permitted in court... Drag, are you drunk?)

Maddox looked at Ms. McCoy and Mr. Thatcher "Alright, I'll permit a one hour recess, you may gather anything else you'll need" she said as she relooked over the trial papers.

The Jury sat there and began to talk amongst themselves(By the ways, how many are in the Jury. It can be a number between 4 to 12)

Ben and Russell Thatcher stood up and went out of the court room for a moment to talk. Once outside the courtroom they began to talk "Ben, are you sure your guys got this evidence? I can't stall for a long time you know and I get paid for this in the end" he said. Ben chuckled quietly "Don't worry, once my guys get here with the evidence we can finish this trail AND I might get the first sentence cut in half. 30 years? I might only get 10 if this plan works. Now give me your phone for a moment" he said. Thatcher handed his phone to Ben. Ben called his men and asked what was going on and smiled as he listened then hung up "The got the evidence and extra from the old lab" he said. Thatcher sighed "How long will it take to bring it here?' he asked "Only a few minutes" Ben said "And I promise you, I will make it worth your time to be here and I might have to ask one more thing. Let me do the talking when they bring the evidence here" he said
