Jason saw Jean and went to greet her.

Carolyn stepped out of her hiding place, enraged. "I am not his puppet." she growled. Perhaps over the time she had forgotten why she despised Sara so much, but now the reasons were beginig to return. Sara thought she was so smart, so intelligent, so high up on top of the game. Why had Carolyn let her go that day?

Sara looked at her with a growl "You are one of his puppets" she said. She hated Carolyn so much because she acted like she was so perfect.

Carolyn sneered at her. "Oh really? Am I a puppet because I did what he wanted?" She asked. She had a heart, and she had people she cared about, people she could never let any of these people know about. Her pressure points. "I'd say me reason for treason would be 'anti-hero,' if you even had the intelligence to know what that means." She spat in a condescending tone.

Jason looked at her "Hey Jean" he said once he came over "I see you're wearing that new hoodie" he said.

Carolyn sneered at her. "Oh really? Am I a puppet because I did what he wanted?" She asked. She had a heart, and she had people she cared about, people she could never let any of these people know about. Her pressure points. All you wanted was to stay on top and stay there so you could get what you wanted and I don't care that you left, you didn't try and escape or fight back, you just sat around and watched Ben hurt others and that includes you, I know he did a lot of things to you, not as much to me, but he still did things, stab you with his knife, shoot you, and even hurt you. He's done it all to me, I know what it's like, you don't because you were more like a pet to him than a worker" she growled.

Carolyn said forcefully. "Call me a puppet, call me evil, whatever you like. You don't really think I feel ok about having killed an innocent girl? I already know I'm a monster, you don't have to tell me that." Her voice cracked. "All I want-" she dug her hand into her pocket and pulled out a capped syringe. "Is to be human." Carolyn chucked the needle and it landed in front of Sara. "I'm trying to give you a chance to have what Ben still holds over my head."

"I was a killer before I got DNA, and my family is only too aware. I'm dead to them, and you're probably dead to your family too. You know why? Because that's what people DO." Carolyn yelled. "THEY DIE. I got out of that prison. I have friends, I'm in collage, I have a relationship. I thought seeing Ben in cuffs would kill my demons but it only made them stronger. Now I'm caught up in my old world again, feeling the urge to kill, acting like a selfish imbecile, acting like... like Carolyn again."

Sara looked at Mark with a loving smile "Good morning to you too" she said as she ran her hand though his hair.
