Midnight whimpered to herself "All my children are gone, all because of that ugly Selena."

Arko ran after her and stopped in his tracks,"oh no, no, no no, NO!"he screamed.he saw his mother laying still at the front of the den and ran forward to her crying.he nuzzled her fur,"mother, wake up"he whispered.he let out a sigh of relief to see her breathing.

Misty felt bored and decided to see if she could claim anymore of her prey from the cabin. She left the cubs behind with their father and went in search of more food. Even though the days were still warm and sunny her instincts were telling her to bury prey for colder days ahead.

Misty spent the rest of the late afternoon and early evening collecting, carrying and burying the carcass one by one. Exhausted, she returned to the den to groom the growing cubs and have a quick rest.
