Completely forgetting about the dingo, Sorrelfur raced to the sound of the cry. Leaping over a large rock and pelting through the bracken, she stopped dead in her tracks as she came across a clearing. Horror etched across her face at what she saw. Thunder was holding Foxshadow down with mighty paws, his jaws around the cat's neck. His fangs send ribbons of blood down his throat and onto the grass, staining it red. Despite his condition, Foxshadow glared defiantly at his assailant.

"Let me go!" He snarled, trying to struggle free.

"Why?" Thunder replied innocently, his voice muffled by Foxshadow's fur. "You're one less obstacle in my way. I could make this quick for you, but you won't cooperate."

"Get away from him!" Sorrelfur screamed, charging at him. Opening up her powers, she struggled to absorb Foxshadow's power just like Bluestar had taught her to do. Her paws caught fire, and a look of surprise flashed across Thunder's face before he smiled. Releasing his grip on Foxshadow, he lunged for her, slamming her into a tree. Stars swirled in her vision before she blacked out.
